I feel like I’ve covered quite a bit this week. I’ve set myself the goal of blogging for a full month to try and kickstart not only Yogi Begins but give you enough information and food for thought to get you started on your own fitness journey towards longevity.
I’ll be covering the mindset part in the near future as I think we need to change the way we think about fitness, when it comes to our priorities.
With that being said, I thought I’ve recap what we’ve covered in case you’ve missed anything so if you haven’t read some of these, go ahead and take a look. I hope you get value from them!
We’re missing out on a great form of exercise here, if you don't know what it is.
Vinyasa is the most popular form of yoga on the planet right now and it’s not hard to understand why.

When you’re first starting out, it’s hard to remain inspired.
With any form of exercise, the hardest part is the beginning. You don’t feel like you know what you’re doing, you’re not seeing results quick enough to keep that motivation. The start is when most people quit.

Follow these guys and keep inspired.
Think of Netflix for the best yoga instructors in the world to present a series of programs across every style you can think of and for any fitness level.
Something I use every day. Indispensable!
The terms mobility and flexibility are used interchangeably and incorrectly.
However, there are significant differences between the two yet they are intertwined. Both are HUGELY important if you’re taking a longevity approach to your health.
Read this and open your eyes.
The Yin to Vinyasas Yang, this style of bodywork is crucial for maintaining health in the fascia and joints.
I made the mistake of thinking it’s either this or nothing but it’s really essential to long lasting joint health.
Everyone should be doing some kind of yin work so have a read, let me know if you need any help trying to factor it in to your week.
If you care about longevity, you need this!
One of my big week areas was my ankles. There were so inflexible, I couldn’t sit on them without being in pain. An injury waiting to happen!
These stretches are all variations leading upto the ultimate ankle stretch and it’s helped be able to not only sit on my feet but lie back to floor on top of them.
I hope these help you as much as they have me!
On the theme of finding inspiration, doing actual workouts is hard when you don’t know what the hell you're doing!
Follows these 4 channels as free resources to get started.
Guys, let’s be honest. We’re tight as hell in this area (if you’re not, good work!).
There are a multitude of stretches we can be doing to stretch the inner groin out but this one is the most intense.
Work on this and your groin will no longer be a weak area!
So there we are! I’ll update tomorrow with another form of yoga but if you don’t want to miss out on any posts, follow this link back to the home page and sign up to the mailing list.
In a bit.
