I’ve never really taken to green smoothies.
Despite being healthy for you, I see smoothies as more like a fruit shake of sorts. A treat. Drinking Kale doesn't seem like a treat to me.
But then I found this, in searching for a smoothie recipe that could help when one feels a tad blocked up, shall we say.
It just so happens that it contains peanut butter. And I’m an absolute sucker for peanut butter!
As well as tasting like heaven, peanut butter is high in valuable protein and fats, that can lower the risk of high blood pressure, stroke and heart disease. It’s also high in fibre for healthy bowel movements, as well as containing Vitamin E.
The spinach is what turns this little concoction into the hulk of smoothies!
Full of calcium, we’re looking at a green that can help strengthen bones, contains vitamins A and C, whilst providing an additional shot of fibre.
And it tastes awesome too. Trust me on that one!
So here’s the recipe for it.
Carbs: 30g (Sugar: 15g)
1x tablespoon Whole Earth Smooth Peanut Butter
150g Alpro Almond Milk
Handful of Spinach
Just whack it all in a blender and get smoothing!
In a bit.
